Tour de Mont Blanc by Bike

340kms   ❖   11,000m   ❖    2 - 3 - 4 Nights    ❖   1080€ - 1500€+

This is another one of our Epic rides which tucks into the Alpine corners of France, Italy and Switzerland. This fully van supported trip is easily accessible by air to Geneva and then a short van transfer to Chamonix. The Tour de Mont Blanc is an actual one day race, but we treat it as a two or three day riding adventure. The climbs and the views are absolutely stunning. Here's the Col "hit list:" Colombière, Aravis, Saisies, Cormet de Roselend, Petit St. Bernard, Colle San Carlo (optional), Grand St. Bernard, Champex, Forclaz and the final push through the Col des Montets. Hats off to the men and women that compete in this race. Hats off to anyone that rides it. It's BIG!

Gallery here, coming soon. .

Mont Blanc Loop Ride difficulty 10/10

Really difficult over two days; if only for the many climbs, lots of riding at elevation and big distances. Riding the Tour de Mt. Blanc in three days (listed below) makes it an easier ride ... averaging 3666m ascent and 113kms per day. Thinking four days? We can do that too.

It's a very good idea to be in Chamonix the day before the ride starts as you will want an early start.

Mont Blanc Itinerary

Day 1. Geneva to Chamonix

Arrival in Geneva (GVA) airport. TTT picks up your group and we make the one hour van transfer with your boxed or unboxed bikes to Chamonix and your hotel.

Day 2. Chamonix to Beaufort

Early van transfer (30 minutes); Chamonix to Cluses. We drive to the trip start in Cluses as the road from Chamonix is horrendous for cyclists. The day starts with the Col de la Colombière, followed by the Col des Aravis then spend the night in Beaufort, France. Details: 100kms and 3078 m ascent.

Day 3. Beaufort to Morgex

One of the most scenic rides ever! Today starts with the Cormet de Roselend and then the amazing descent down to Bourg-St-Maurice. Next up; Col du Petit St. Bernard, 31 kms ahead then down to La Thuile, Italy. We can take the main road down to the valley and our hotel or we can climb the beautiful Colle San Carlo (only adds another 500m climb) and drop down to the valley that way. Night in Morgex. Details: 96 kms and 2828 m ascent.

Day 4. Morgex to Chamonix

Here we go. The biggest day, with an easy start. Beautiful 25 km downhill cruise all the way to Aosta before you start the amazing 35 kms and 2000m climb to the Grand St. Bernard. This is a once in a lifetime ride. Enjoy it. Three more climbs to go; "Champex" with some of the best switchbacks on the downhill portion that you will EVER find anywhere on the planet! Then the Col de la Forclaz and Col des Montets which brings you into Chamonix and your hotel. Today's details: 147kms and 4168 m ascent. Big? Yes. Champagne anyone?

Evening group transfer to GVA if needed.
