This is a fairly hilly week with plenty of climbing, mostly up a quiet, beautiful road, then some rolling roads high up on the plains before you descend down one of the many gorges in this area. Phenomenal scenery, photo ops around every second bend and no cars! TTT has some amazing trips and rides, but ... this trip trumps most of the others. Sorry, poor use of words, but the trip name says it all. You will be blown away!
This trip is definitely not for the faint of heart as the roads are quite narrow with steep drop-offs, switchbacks, dark, unlit tunnels and over-hanging rock walls. Having said that, you are unlikely to meet a car on these narrow roads as only the farmers use them. Absolutely the perfect trip to bring your mother-in-law for her very first European cycling vacation.
Most days there are longer or shorter rides available. All of these rides take us into the middle of nowhere, so chances of having a sit-down lunch option are extremely slim. The rare village that we cycle through, might have a goat. That may not be enough. So, included in the trip price are daily snacks and drinks, served with a big smile from our well-stocked support van.
